個展「われてもすえに・その後１」を開催いたします。
陶磁土のような素材は、高温で焼結させると何百年あるいは何千年も同じ状態を保つことができます。文化や美術において、ものの保存状態を維持し続けることは、歴史の足跡をたどるために必要な条件ですが、あえて破損や経年変化が発生しやすい状況を生み出し、作品を遺し伝えていくことを困難にする作品「われてもすえに」を制作しました。
陶磁土素材のワレモノと人間との関わり方を再考するきっかけとなる作品を展示することで、ものの存在やものへの触れかた、ものの遺し方について新たな視座を設け、文化や美術といった歴史に対するひとつの提案を行います。

本展開催に際して、私は運転免許を取得しました。作品を輸送することは、展覧会を開催するにあたって必要な当然の工程ですが、私は運転初心者であり、壊れやすいワレモノの作品をギャラリーまで輸送することについて不安をおぼえています。
本展では、輸送によって作品を危険な状況に晒し、作品が壊れてしまう可能性に突き進み、それでも作品の保存を試みようとするものです。

We are pleased to present our solo exhibition, “われてもすえに・その後1“.
When sintered at high temperatures, materials such as ceramic clay can remain in the same state for hundreds or even thousands of years. In the field of culture and art, maintaining the preservation of objects is a necessary condition for tracing the footsteps of history, but the artist dared to create a situation where damage and changes over time can easily occur, making it difficult to bequeath the work and pass it on to future generations.
By exhibiting works that will trigger a reconsideration of the relationship between humans and breakables made from ceramic clay, the exhibition will provide a new perspective on the existence of things, the way we touch things, and the way we bequeath things, as well as a proposal for the history of culture and art.

For this exhibition, I obtained a driver’s license. Transporting artworks is a necessary and natural part of the exhibition process, but as a novice driver, I am concerned about transporting fragile works of art to the gallery.
This exhibition is an attempt to preserve the works by exposing them to hazardous conditions and the possibility that they may be damaged by transportation.

宇野 湧
京都市立芸術大学大学院修士課程陶磁器細目修了。
人とやきものとの新しい関わり方を提示し、やきものの新たなあり方を提案している。
特に、陶磁土素材の割れや欠け、やきものの脆さに着目し作品発表を行っている。
